5 Star top to bottom. One of my (and everyone’s) favorites downtown for fresh seafood and of course clam chowder. As good as it gets and as fresh as it gets. Last night I had to squeeze in at the bar as there was a usual line out the door. But the service was great there and you can get the full menu. I had the Cajun monkfish special this time after a cup of chowder. Super fresh fish and a nice spicy sauce. Really good. This place is on every best of list for good reason. Be patient, even at lunch the line forms before the doors open. It’ll be worth the wait.

Came to Boston Sail Loft on Mother’s Day, so there was a 1 hour wait, but it’s okay because it is in such a beautiful area! We had no problem waiting around by the water. Once seated, we were placed in a nice little corner. My gfs and I all got the “New England Lobster Roll” which came with fries, butter, and coleslaw! The menu said market price but I was pleasantly surprised when it was only 39.95. I loved everything about my meal. It was the perfect amount of everything. All of the staff members were kind, attentive, and very personable. I definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Popular, long-running restaurant serving up clam chowder, lobster [rolls], and fish and chips. Our waitress Katie was saying it has the same owner and cooks as it did 30yrs ago. The fish and chips were hands down the best I've had anywhere in the world. It's always cod, and it's fried with a batter like Italian calamari. It was perfectly cooked, and so soft and juicy. The fries were great too, they are also battered. The chowder was delicious, 45 upgrades you from a cup to a bowl. Lobster is market price. A whole lobster or a lobster roll was 40.

The hype is real! We weren’t sure if we would be able to get a table at this popular restaurant on a Saturday evening but after a 30 minute wait, we were seated! The food was all very tasty. My family ordered the clam chowder, surf and turf, hot buttered lobster roll, lobster ravioli (which had a very generous helping of lobster) and chicken caesar salad. Our food came out fairly quickly and our waitress was lovely. I usually don’t bother to go to restaurants on a weekend if reservations are not taken. I’m glad we took a risk!

We came during the weekend. We wanted to have lunch ended up with early dinner since the wait was over 1.5 hours. My husband and I had never been to this restaurant, I saw all the reviews and wanted to try it. We were nervous because the wait time was insane and we didn’t want to wait and be let down. However, food was amazing. Everything we had was amazing. The mussels were fresh and full of flavor. We had to order 2 orders of them, they were so good! I had scallops and they were cooked perfectly. They were also fresh. My husband had salmon and shrimp and he enjoyed every bite. The food was fresh, delicious and the service was always good. Oh and the mashed potatoes we so good and made at the store! If we are ever back in town, we will definitely stop by again!

Boston Sail Loft, Atlantic Avenue. Excellent location with nice views. You might have to wait a while to get a table. You’ve been warned. If you give the staff your number they will text you when your table is ready. Had the salad, Scrod, Clam Chowder ,Lobster Roll and a potato appetizer. All dishes were fresh. Friendly staff. Great seafood.Solid dining choice in my opinion. Generous portions!

Had a really good service! The food was truly awesome. Lobster was fresh and they were generous with the portion. The clam chowder stole the show! Packed an iconic Boston cream pie to go and it tasted exquisite. Totally worth the seafood try if you’re around town.

First time trying this restaurant after reading the reviews. We had friends visiting from the UK and wanted them to experience the quintessential NE fried seafood. We certainly were not disappointed. ...
